BUSINESS. Real estate transaction in Granby. FUTUR Immobilier becomes co-owner of the buildings at 150 Saint-Jacques and 94 Saint-Charles Sud currently owned by the company Complexe Saint-Jacques senc, the GranbyExpress has learned .
This transaction involves six buildings and over 380 housing units. A total investment of approximately $60 million was made by FUTUR Immobilier, managed by entrepreneur Jérémy Savoie.
Complexe Saint-Jacques senc, led by promoter Alain Ross, ceded shares of the property, the distribution of which between the two groups has been kept confidential.
Steps
“We only integrated partners who have the same vision as us, which is to offer as many housing units as possible, including affordable ones. Then, we chose FUTUR Immobilier, because [Jérémy Savoie] is a young developer in whom we have confidence and who helps us with asset management,” Mr. Ross stated over the phone.
It was out of mutual interest that they joined forces in these two residential properties in Granby. An opportunity that Alain Ross and his team couldn’t pass up.
Discussions began during the second half of 2025.
“We were not actively looking for a partner or partners in the project. This proposal was offered to us. We considered it because we are in acquisition mode to perhaps reposition ourselves in other assets. Thus, this partnership allows us to grow and maintain our acquisition growth,” said Mr. Ross, who already knew Jérémy Savoie personally.
Vision
One thing is certain: FUTUR Immobilier is here to stay. For example, the company sees strong potential for long-term improvement and appreciation of the Complexe Saint-Jacques building. It plans to implement an optimization program focused on housing quality, space modernization, and operational efficiency.
For its part, the building at 94 Saint-Charles Sud “complements FUTUR Immobilier’s presence in Granby”, the company said in a press release.
Over the coming months, FUTUR Immobilier intends to work with local stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and contribute positively to Granby’s vitality. Initiatives related to security, the residential experience, and energy efficiency will be rolled out gradually.
Finally, Alain Ross told the GranbyExpress that he is currently working on another residential project in the region which should be unveiled “in the coming months”, without giving further details.
